@Makarand on the day I took the photo the wind was so strong I could barely hold the camera still. I was glad to get back to the shelter of my van. It's a beautiful place and I hope to return on a sunny evening. @pgaskell Beautiful. I love it there. Ynys Llanddwyn means "Island of the Church of Dwynwen". Or more accurately, llan means a sacred enclosure as eglwys is church. @druid thanks for the correction, not being a Welsh speaker I got the name from the sign that tells you about the island on the main path. I hadn't noticed but that refers to the island as Ynys Y Bendigaid rather than Llanddwyn. Just spotted the difference when I checked the photo I took of the sign. |
@pgaskell excellent photo
