Gregory's Server@openstreetmap @organicmaps @liaizon I just learned the moors are the same tribe as the More’s of the west and Maur’s of Punjab. They are Sythian Jats who fled an invasion. Some headed west and others south.

 @savera I am not sure what your posting of this link means. This persons article seems all over the place. The term Moor (or Maur or Mauryas) is used all over the world and in different contexts means very different things. The idea that all the uses are connected to a single tribe is just very easily disproven. |
@savera this is not true. The term "Moor" is an exonym used by Christians to mean "not Christian/dark skinned people who have different culture" https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moors
