 Got tickets for Oppenheimer and Barbie for Saturday, I haven't seen two movies in theaters on the same day since Clockstoppers and Jurassic Park (I think?) years ago! Everyone wants to see Barbie, only 1 person wants to see Oppenheimer and thats the one I'm most looking forward to seeing. 4 comments
@christopherbrown nice and jealous!! We don’t have any 70mm imax theatres here I’m sure it will still be quite the experience, but I wish I could see it in 70mm! You have to go, they are saying it’s the movie of the century. Also if you read this and do go, you are hereby obligated to tell me how it was!!  @dansup Will do. I’ve been off of TV and film for a while, so I need to probably book my seats as motivation to go otherwise I’ll forget! 🤣 @dansup My 2¢ on #Oppenheimer #IMAX 70mm: Nice to have if you can get it, but not necessary to enjoy the film as the use of B&W vs color also has the same effect as a storytelling device as changes in aspect ratio. It was cool to have some scenes fill the screen, but I am unsure if it would detract from enjoyment with a single aspect ratio. |
