I gotta admit, the Autospam detection in @pixelfed is much better since I added the AI algorithm!

Feels good knowing we have the best spam mitigation across the #fediverse

@liaizon It's self hosted, each instance trains its own dataset.

Admins can export/import spam training data, and share it amongst themselves, though the other half of the training data (ie: user posts that aren't spam) are not exportable/sharable due to privacy concerns.

@dansup Wow that sounds quite perfect! Do the accounts that get caught go into a queue of some sort that a human can look through in case there are false positives?

@dansup @pixelfed Interesting point of fact, since properly training SpamAssassin's bayesian filters, 20 (wrote 15… then checked myself) years ago, I have never received any false-negative spam. Could a heuristic system like SA's not be repurposed? (Unless you count Bayesian statistical analysis as AI, of course.)

I'll be sure to watch for the post!
