The guy and his partner had just bought a large fancy power boat, trying to enjoy life now that his health was better.
Being at a dock is always an interesting experience, we share the space with people we'd never get to talk to otherwise, often people with more means, that don't always share our values... but there's always something to learn, and despite our differences it is always pleasant.
If anything, meeting people from different backgrounds helps dispell some of my own biases, it makes me more open-minded, more tolerant.
