 @fasterthanlime the cat is complaining about the small size of the litter box and is doing their business where they aren't stuck in the cramped dark? Also their face is scrunchy and cute. This is normal behavior. @frummidge it's always complaining about something but I promise the litter box isn't "small" by any stretch of the imagination. perhaps there's "gigantic" boxes out there though. @fasterthanlime @frummidge tbh, the litter box looks small for the cat (based on that one pic). Try taking the cover off for a few days and see if the cat sits in there fully then. Cats really want enough space when doing their business but unfortunately most litter boxes are actually undersized. My cats also preferred the "gigantic" litterbox and seldom used the smaller one until I took the lid off from that one. @fasterthanlime If there are many complains, you may want to check out Jackson Galaxy's channel – we learned a ton about feline behavior from him :bun_heart: Cleared up a lot of misconceptions we had had about our past kitties     @fasterthanlime Mine does this too, we just gave up and removed the door (she still does the thing, but now the door isn't in the way) @fasterthanlime Some cats are less comfortable having their lines of sight disrupted while they're toileting. Depending on your cat's age, there might be joint stiffness (our roommates' cat has severe arthritis and can't always use his litterbox comfortably). But my guess is your floof prefers to just have an eye out on surroundings 🐰 |
