Oldish laptop with amd aquired!

Now I seemingly cannot load bios, only way to boot from usb is to reboot from windows special boot menu.

I am slightly afraid I will not be able to boot laptop If I f-up my linux installation since I only found a way to reboot to bios from working linux, not from not bootloader

@yura Toshiba

But boot keys not working may be due to fastboot enabled in windows

Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
@yura Actually, yes it is, boot sequence was set to prioritise USB but windows used "fast boot" to ignore usb boot

@untsuki
Disable fast startup in windows old control panel power settings. And tell me if it helps.

@yura Yes, it helped at least to fix boot sequence so it actually is fine for me as linux user

@untsuki can you already enter bios/uefi settings from cold boot?
Tired Bunny :bunhdcomfysleep:
@yura Yes, it seems completely okay now

Bootloader trusting more than user is a disaster to humanity (though I guess force reboot by holding power button is also capable of stopping fast boot sequence, but instead of testing that I will install linux after relatives will backup files they need from current install)

@untsuki windows fast startup is a disaster. If any weird problems with PC, disable windows fast startup (and delete avast antivirus)
