@FediFollows for once I've actually heard of everything here, used darktable occasionally for some DNG files, used to use inkscape before switching to Figma, and I use Blender for like images of 3D models

@FediFollows @kdenlive @tenacity @Krita @krita_artists @kritafoundation @darktable @inkscape @blender@video.blender.org @Blender@mastodon.social Might I suggest Faststone Image Viewer for very fast and effective image organising. (Windows only I think). You can add in other editing programmes so it will send them to that application.
I've used it in conjunction with a few editing programmes that don't have a management system. Highly effective.

They don't appear to have any social media presence though.

@FediFollows I am enjoying Scribus for desktop publishing. It does not create accessible PDFs, unfortunately, but it saves me learning bloated Illustrator to do basic document layout and paying for the privilege.

@FediFollows

If you're interested I think there's also a blender community art bot.

If you find Inkskape & Gimp to be too UI heavy for your needs & expertise, a nice alternative is getpaint.net/, a free tool that is much more capable than MS Paint, without the steep learning curve of others.

It is Windows only, and is no longer open source, however.

I would recommend you give it a try.
