Congrats to @pipewire on the 1.0 release. Hooray for the next generation of Linux audio! 🎉 Sorry folks, I forgot to communicate this properly: Our initial repository (https://github.com/tenacityteam/tenacity/) was archived a bit ago as a result of people opening many issues that we were probably never going to fix there anyways. Again, @gperson is working on https://github.com/saucedacity/saucedacity, which is adopting AND adapting our patches, as well as upstream features. A community member, personal friend of the person who runs this Mastodon account (hi Jeremy) nudged the maintainers of the AUR package (tenacity-git), who fixed things up in short notice! It should be good to go now, give it a shot! Here, a screenshot you've been all asking for! (please retoot or I will get fired) Most of our team's attention is focused on cleaning up the "museum of horrible hacks from 20 years ago compounded by horrible hacks from 10 years ago compounded by horrible hacks from 5 years ago compounded by horrible hacks from this year", as accurately portrayed by @be in reference to Audacity's build system. The person who manages the socials is also on a break from Tenacity stuff for now. Hello, fediverse! We are Tenacity, one of the most prominent forks of Audacity for the time being. I'm not sure what I'll do with this account yet, but you're more than free to follow it and find out for yourself. :) |
