My immediate thought about Bluesky is that it’s a super stripped down and minimalistic version of Twitter.
And as much as Bluesky’s much vaunted algorithm is hyped, I’m kind of disappointed.
There’s only two feeds: Following and “What’s hot”. Thankfully, Following is the default, not “What’s hot”.
It doesn’t give you the local feed.
Since there’s only one instance, you can’t check remote feeds or see a federated feed.
There’s no lists.
But at least the feed is engaging.
Apparently, Bluesky has 15,000 accounts. I’m still gauging the quality of the community.
Seems like there’s lots of startup founders. Thankfully, there’s fewer crypto people—unlike Nostr.
