I think of my favorite characters in books, TV and movies as my friends. Their happiness is my happiness. Their tragedies are my tragedies. How many of you are like this? Honestly most of them I think are too cool to be my friends, but I care about them as if they were real people. I love ridiculously long series because I get to stay in their lives for longer! I was a weirdo little girl that loved monster movies and Godzilla. Positive vibes only.Thank you 🙏  @Fragglemuppet @vincent I’ve seen here so much hate against groups of ppl and individual users … I hope this place is not changing into the same hellhole we tried to avoid @Fragglemuppet Privacy influencers who sell & promote their own devices, self-name their own OS, tout themselves as being big on sites such as Odysee. They too, have own social media site on their degoggled devices. Use phrases such as '3-letter agencies' & ducking the 'Zucking'. All in the name of privacy the patrons delete their chats. Voluntarily? Dunno. My main selling point to try and bring my blind friends to Mastodon from Twitter is people using alt text. I know I never claimed everyone did it all the time, but still, please don't make me look like a liar! #AltText Not that it's really been working. I mean the persuading. But still, alt text is important! I'm on the kidney transplant list since 2019. I'm listed at 1 hospital, & am working on getting listed at another. In the meantime, you can help! Kidneys from living donors are healthier and last longer on average than kidneys from deceased donors. Can you help me find one? I know it's a big ask for a stranger on the internet, but maybe you or someone you know could be the one to give the gift of a better life! Blood type O+. Please boost. #MutualAid #MutualAidRequest

But then the people at the hospital tell me to do whatever I can, and I know a donor can come from anywhere, and I figure, at least it can't do any harm! Thank you to everyone who's shared this so far. Please keep it going! Right now this is the only substantial promotion I've got, though I'm working on changing that. @erkhyan See? We always knew those old tales held wisdom we could use in the current day! lol And not just that flakey, motivational poster jazz like "be true to your heart" or "have courage," but actual, practical knowledge. |
