 @atomicpoet Ugghhh. I think it would be a wonderful turn of events if instead of making a living as an online content creator you could make a living as a content “facilitator” governing and taking care of social spaces and infrastructure. Where I would suspect such a function would have plenty of economic value too should people be willing to recognise and embrace it. 3 comments
 Ha. Counselling is emotional labour. Yes. Emotional labour is labour. Yes. Labour should be paid for. Yes. Therefore counsellors should be paid. No omg what's wrong with you, don't you care about people, do you only care when you're paid to? Etc etc etc Moderation and facilitation is very much emotional labour. @atomicpoet that’s what I’m saying. Content creator or even influence seems to be a well known and arguably well trodden path. It’d be nice if “facilitator” became as obvious a choice. |
