I am sure Toyota would not allow Mitsubishi adverts on their premises, why should twitter allow mastodon to promote itself on twitter? @At0micAndy @damien @atomicpoet First Toyota is not a social network, second they wouldn't kick you out if you told the sales guy, "I have a Mitsubishi XYZ as a second car" "Right now I'm driving a Mitsubishi" "My Wife drives a Mitsubishi", if you forbid people to speak about the existence of other social networks because you fear they may switch it's because you think that your service sucks. @At0micAndy @damien @atomicpoet By the way a lot of influencers from Insta or YouTube use Twitter as a communication tool with their fans, if you ban all of them you would shoot yourself very hard in the foot.  @atomicpoet @damien no it isn't. if it violated the rules, it would be gone. a previous tweet violated the rules and that text took its place

Or it's just Nitter being funky?
 @atomicpoet I heard if twitter bans other platforms, it no longer is a town square, and becomes a publisher, and can held responsible for all the tweets published. I have a feeling the law critters forced this change :D |
