@Radical_EgoCom I voted no; because there will always be some people who wish to "make their own way". That said, I think there must be constraints on the amount of assets an individual can hold. This is one of several reasons why I am a supporter of the #DoughnutEconomy theory, which holds that there should be upper and lower limits for personal income in the interests of global equality. (There are other beneficial too!)

There always being people who want to "make their own way" is no good reason to keep an exploitative system like capitalism around. People can "make their own way" in a socialist society as well without exploiting workers. Also, lower and upper limits to income don't address capitalist exploitation at all. Capitalist exploitation is caused by the appropriation of the surplus value of workers' labor by capitalists, resulting in profits for capitalists while paying workers...1/2

... less than the true value of what they produce. Even if there were upper and lower limits to income, this exploitation would continue to exist. 2/2
