There always being people who want to "make their own way" is no good reason to keep an exploitative system like capitalism around. People can "make their own way" in a socialist society as well without exploiting workers. Also, lower and upper limits to income don't address capitalist exploitation at all. Capitalist exploitation is caused by the appropriation of the surplus value of workers' labor by capitalists, resulting in profits for capitalists while paying workers...1/2
