I suspect I wasn't the only person a bit disappointed with the "OpenStreetMap's New Vector Tiles" discussion at https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=42182519 earlier today. Using the data in the Shortbread-schema tiles as a way of looking at OSM data is like not going to a concert but reading about it the next day. You'll get some of the information, but will miss most of it.
