Am I and my subscribers currently being fucked over by this new iOS thing? Do I need to warn them about it? Or will the fuckery commence only when they finally force me to switch?

@jwz i don't really understand either - the details seem to be unduly confusing. I wouldn't say *deliberately* confusing, but they do obscure the key message:
* get the hell off the patreon app
* or at least never use it near money
what i've been advising my patrons is: bug patreon support about whether you're affected, as much as you feel you need to.
i also put a big note at the top of my patreon page saying don't sign up with the app, tho i have no idea if it shows up
