@dansup How about the Ubuntu release dates model? They always release on dates that happen on the same month every year, and "Long Time Support" versions on the same month once per two years. That way every user can prepare+plan their own upgrades when the release dates are known+predictable.
The Ubuntu team sometimes simply delay what they include in their next version instead of postponing the whole release.
No stress needed. Just skip including a thing until for example 3 releases later.
