I don’t get why anyone would do this. It’s like when I saw a video where the dog was told to stay & the couple walked in opposite directions, then both called it. Clearly confusing & distressing.

@Susan60 @yurnidiot That dog clearly enjoyed it, even if he didn’t understand what was going on. But the couple trying to make him choose which one of them he was going to run to? That was just messing with him. My dog plays tricks like that on me, too. He asks to go outside, then when I get up to open the door he runs away and makes play signals. He learned it from a dog who used to visit us; she'd bark out the window and, as soon as he got up to look, she'd rush in to steal his seat. I see it as good dialogue between us that we both play tricks on each other, and that they so often end in play signals. Oh I get that. That’s all in good fun. But why would you trick your dog into eating something you know he doesn’t like, just to film & put online? @Susan60 @yurnidiot Clicks, is the reason. People doing shit like this to dogs is *huge* on Fb/Insta/TikTok. These people are earning a fortune. Meanwhile, my dog loves broccolli. I think he'd choose it over the chicken, tbh. 😆 I remember the old “Funniest home videos”, which often weren’t funny, & at the expense of pets & small children. Yuck. |

Like the video where they call the dog into the room and then everyone claps.
