 @yurnidiot A cat would slice you while you slept, and eat that MF chicken on your dead body.   I don’t get why anyone would do this. It’s like when I saw a video where the dog was told to stay & the couple walked in opposite directions, then both called it. Clearly confusing & distressing.  @Susan60 @yurnidiot @Susan60 @yurnidiot That dog clearly enjoyed it, even if he didn’t understand what was going on. But the couple trying to make him choose which one of them he was going to run to? That was just messing with him.  My dog plays tricks like that on me, too. He asks to go outside, then when I get up to open the door he runs away and makes play signals. He learned it from a dog who used to visit us; she'd bark out the window and, as soon as he got up to look, she'd rush in to steal his seat. I see it as good dialogue between us that we both play tricks on each other, and that they so often end in play signals. Oh I get that. That’s all in good fun. But why would you trick your dog into eating something you know he doesn’t like, just to film & put online?  @Susan60 @yurnidiot Clicks, is the reason. People doing shit like this to dogs is *huge* on Fb/Insta/TikTok. These people are earning a fortune. Meanwhile, my dog loves broccolli. I think he'd choose it over the chicken, tbh. 😆 I remember the old “Funniest home videos”, which often weren’t funny, & at the expense of pets & small children. Yuck.     @yurnidiot That’s kind of mean. That said we ran out of treats & gave my Bff’s cat her own cat food from her bowl but poured out on the treat spot and she gobbled it down & licked the tile. 🤣 🤣 🤣 @yurnidiot LMAO. I did not know I spoke dog. I understood every word. And I thought I had a potty mowf. 😂 @yurnidiot Dogs sense of taste is very poor. Even some of our taste is actually smell. So to the dog, smelling the chicken and eating the broccoli is probably no different than eating the chicken. Which explains why the dog seems perfectly content....for a while at least! Until the taste or smell of the broccoli overwhelms that of the chicken.  I need to take a two day vacation from politics because all I can think is "the meat is racism and the veggies are oligarchy" and the dog is about to bite that chicken and the hand that feeds it. |
