If you find yourself on a committee discussing the needs of a particular group of people, but you look around the room & don't see anyone from that group, you should be HIGHLY skeptical of any "conclusions" reached. @jeffowski All beardie weirdie too, if you look. A vibe of BO, toxic masculinity, racist supremacy coming from the lot of them. 🤮 @jeffowski Dang. Could they not find any women who wanted to join their committee? So strange. @Chaotica -- https://mastodon.world/@jeffowski/111297369936898586 No... Stay and advocate and scream that certain people aren't in the room. @Chaotica -- Yes, because they will replace POC with white people every time. Being at the table means you can advocate and voice those concerns. What the boardrooms at corporations look like today is the result of the boycott group, leaving places of corrupted power to express some moral outrage and protest, where those voices of agitation were replaced with voices of acquiescence. @Chaotica -- When you play chess, you don't win by taking your own pieces off the board. You getting up and walking out is exactly what they want you to do. You've given up any power and given it all over to the people you disagree with. @jeffowski Like that time a bunch of men in a conference room decided which bathroom I was allowed to use at work. Fun. A few years ago, I and a group of homeless people attended a town hall meeting about homelessness. They went out of their way to make sure no one at our table got called on. |
@jeffowski Yet... a bunch of old men legislate women's bodies all the time. 🤷♀️
