@AnarchistArt #Alt4U Poster featuring Volt Boy kicking the Monopoly banker who is grasping a bulging bag of cash. Text reads: Refugees didn't take away affordable housing - rich landlords and greedy politicians DID.

@AnarchistArt
the trouble with this is that while it may bet you clicks, most people, or at least most voters, don't agree

@AnarchistArt

RIGHT!, AND NEXT YOU'RE GOING TO SAY IMMIGRANTS DIDN'T ACTUALLY STEAL AMERICAN JOBS. RICH COMPANY OWNERS GAVE THEM JOBS FOR CHEAPER WAGES?

@AnarchistArt refugees, means the taxpayer, pay more reliable. πŸ˜‰

@AnarchistArt

I thought it was crazy 20-30% increase of appreciation of housing cost depending on the state of things.. values wise? Silly me. πŸ“Š

Said it before.

Tucson has grown by 178,000 people since 2010.
We've only seen about 25,000 new homes built since then.

In 2019 about 71% of Tucsonans could afford a mortgage.
In 2022 that dropped to about 34%.

In 2022 Arizona had 3 of the 10 cities with highest-priced rent increases in the nation.

Our inflation is still high and it's aiding removal and refacing the entire city with fuckos that had never heard of Tucson 5 years ago.

Get outta my fucking town, invaders.πŸ–•πŸ˜

@AnarchistArt you're misusing your ALT-TEXT. Do you hate visual impaired people?

@AnarchistArt

And the right wing politicians enabled by the tycoons try to manipulate you into thinking the refugees are to blame.

It has been done before in the 1930s and we know where that went.

Zack Cerza

@AnarchistArt It would be awesome if you'd use alt text for captions so that vision-impaired users could appreciate your posts

@AnarchistArt But let's not make fun of people paying $50,000 for a seat at the super f'ing bowl because that's a "worthy" cause paying millionaire players working for billionaire owners just so they can all pat themselves on the back showing how rich they are.

@AnarchistArt Putting hastags serves no purpose, except to break an accessibility tool.

@AnarchistArt Yep too many play the wealthy elites blame game that usually shields them from any criticism at all.Its time to star blaming the real culprits the greedy and selfish.

@AnarchistArt It's the 'minority' among refugees or those that don't 'behave' as good guests that make the general public of the host country fear them. Politicians and 'some' elements use that.

Before someone comes at me, I know it too well - Mizoram to continue helping displaced Chins from Myanmar. We have maybe ONE murder case in five years. Last year alone we had 5 murder cases - not domestic but robbery or car jacking. All committed by Burmese refugees. And then there's the drug smuggling problem.

In my native village alone, rents have shot to β‚Ή10k plus when people would be shocked at a β‚Ή4k rent two or three years ago. No, it's not like the economy is booming. Many of the Burmese refugees receive funds from their fellow Burmese from foreign countries or from smuggling (meth and heroin). They'll go to the house owner (landlord) with a wad a cash and offer 2-3 times the normal rate. Who would refuse? And why wouldn't locals hate that?
