Facebook also deleting internal employee posts asking why the first ones deleted https://www.404media.co/facebook-deletes-internal-employee-criticism-of-new-board-member-dana-white/

While Dana White is a Neanderthal who doesn’t belong on any corporate board, I have some sympathy here for FB. How many companies would let you post derogatory (albeit perhaps true) comments about a board member on the break room cork board?
What WOULD be a problem would be if they were censoring that content from non-employees on their public site.

Amazon too. Twitter too. Reddit. All of them. I dream of living in a world where people care more about the substance of a thing than how it makes them feel. Because people stay on those platforms for the feels & dopamine hits. But it's all dishonest. It will take you to a dark place every time.
@josephcox i know full well that ethical employment under capitalism is very hard, especially in tech, but some of these employee comments have serious "are we the baddies?" vibes. i gotta wonder why this the breaking point for them when Cambridge Analytica and Myanmar were not
