  It's good to see people discovering decentralised alternatives after Twitter's decision to show posts to banned accounts. However, please don't mislead them into thinking they're getting something fundamentally different. What worked for me were larger line spacing, rainbow delimiters, and rainbow indent bars. And I'm not even dyslexic. Using privacy tools is not just about whether you personally have something to hide. It's also about other people who won't be able to have a truly private way of communicating unless it's normalized. It only works well if it's the default and for everyone. How would you implement multi-language posts in Mastodon/Fediverse/ActivityPub/etc.? Translation services often produce misleading text, and there is no way to edit it after to correct errors. We need a solution. One of the greatest benefits of using unique email aliases for each service is that you know about data breaches as soon as spammers start using them. Way faster than GDPR notifications. Also, it's funny to read how e.g. "Médicos Sin Fronteras" tries to sell you anti-okupas alarms :D |
