Did you know that I made an engine for the #sega #dreamcast ? It's called ANTIRUINS; it uses the Lua scripting language and it makes developing on Dreamcast quite accessible. The engine is accessible for free on itch.io : https://bertholet.itch.io/antiruins Finally, some good fucking winter melancholy. @vriska as someone currently quasi smoking and quasi trying to quit. Kill the shouldn't w/ fire pls
Приключенческая игра Indiana Jones and the Great Circle от создателей Wolfenstein: The New Order выходит 9 декабря на ПК и Xbox Series X|S. @Chia Чтобы справиться с одним инвазивным видом, нужен другой, еще более злой инвазивный вид :D if anyone has found fedi is "no fun" any more best solution is single user instance + not giving a shit about site meta because you're not accountable for your admin/fellow instances serrs actions even br proxy + not give a fuck about that kinda thing in general

when you're engineering, you are problem solving with science and that's honestly so cool. your results deserve to be presented in the most beautiful way possible. make your pcbs look symmetrical and have pretty routed traces. spend time and effort to prettify your technical drawings beyond the standard requirements. put a camera just for PR images on your satellite. you should be proud of your work and others should be able to appreciate it easily @filmroellchen > you should be proud of your work and others should be able to appreciate it easily hah. i’m proud of your engineering work (and i appreciate it!) but I could never be proud of mine. it always feels like a hack in some way… @filmroellchen but isn't engineering also about min-maxing? Aren't min-maxed designs beautiful in their own way, even when that means there is no place for camera, and when making the PCB symmetrical would be sub-optimal? Shout out to yt-dlp. My job as a content creator would become either way harder or impossible if it didn't exist. I use yt-dlp constantly to download my own videos for which I don't have the final exports anymore. Yes, Youtube Studio does have a "Download Video" button, but it only lets you download the video in a laughably bad quality. yt-dlp on the other hand lets me download the highest quality 4K version of any of my videos and that has saved my ass on multiple occasions @notthebee German court has ruled that it is illegal to use because it circumvents the security of yt. Here's my recent video downloaded through YT Studio's official "Download" functionality vs. the disgusting tool of pirates and content thieves /s

Dun Beag is one of the best preserved brochs and a good example of a broch tower. Brochs only appear in Scotland. They are dry stone structures formed of two concentric walls with a narrow entrance passage. Stone stairs ran between the walls to provide access, perhaps to upper floors, and the top. Scotland’s brochs were built in the Iron Age, first emerging about 2,300 years ago. Their use continued until the middle of the first millennium CE.

@ChaHarper We're so glad we got to visit Dun Beach when we visited Skye this past May. It's a very special place. @ChaHarper There's the substantial remains of a building with many of the features of a broch, including the hollow centre, and the double walls and apparent accommodation within them, but roughly rectangular in plan, at Castlehaven Bay near Borgue, in Galloway. Whether it's a related to brochs or not I'm not qualified to say. @ChaHarper they are tantalisingly similar to the nuraghi of Sardinia. |
