the absolute euphoria i get by papering over a tough situation with “fuck it we ball” tired: “omg let me know if you need anything. any time of day, just gimme a call” unbelievably wired: “sorry to hear that. it is what it is ig” Got some questions about a critique I gave on this app last night about the EULA acceptance screen, so I figured I'd break this out. Do you have any opinions on these methods for mandatory legal agreements before using a product/service? I made a quick mockup representing their current design and the type of design I argued for. Curious to hear from law people and non-law people about this.

Nobody asked for this, but I just signed up for insurance with State Farm and I already have some strong thoughts and feelings about their app design. This is an impromptu design critique because I cannot turn this part of my brain off. This is a curse.

@samhenrigold great write up! I used to work on this app 🫣🤭 definitely a fun surprise to see it in my feed this morning. @samhenrigold Great stuff! one small thing: i think (at least in Europe) that you’re required to pop up a terms&conditions screen. @lindadong Hey Linda! I was just checking out the new info on the developer website — will there be AskApple Slack sessions this year? I didn’t see anything about that. In what continues to be the craziest year yet, Crouton is a finalist for an Apple Design Award 🥳 I’m not crying, you’re crying! best wikipedia section? Anonymous poll

Voting ended 29 May at 16:09. "Personal life" of course. It's what I look at in case I'm curious if someone is gay zipcar should offer a non-moving option where you can just sit in a car to eat taco bell. it feels wrong eating it in an apartment. this is car food, clear and simple. Russian car sharing services actually have different prices per minute for driving and parking. No such thing as "car food" here though. Or do gas station hotdogs count? you know that ramen is gonna be HITTING when the packaging copy is an absolute machine translation train wreck @samhenrigold that's not machine translation, that's companies doing it who think their English is good enough they don't need to use the dictionary or have it checked big thing here in Japan, as well you know it it were me and i saw the fiddler on that roof, i’d just ask him to come down. i mean cmon it’s dangerous!!! idk i’ve never seen the play @samhenrigold I tend to think of it as Barely Useful Large Language Special High Intensity Training. im so glad I bought a 12 pack of happy dad only to find out it tastes like medicine!!! (it was on sale for the same price as the smallest case they had, they didn’t have high noon or individual cans. just feel sympathy for me please) there’s a guy here who i won’t name but he still fumes about 64-bit Carbon being announced & not getting released (18 years ago). i hope i’ll be able to hold a grudge like that some day. that’s pro-league grudge holding Well there's one reason why Carbon might be a good thing, because without a purely C API it's an immense pain in the butt to call the system GUI APIs from non-Apple-blessed languages. Most of them are only available through Objective-C, so you either write hundreds of wrapper functions or call things like i just got my tax refund check and immediately ordered out for dinner because that money is fake magic government money that does not exist You use Apple Music, I keep a list of 2008 Windows Movie Maker lyric videos for my favorite songs. We're not the same. |
