@gamingonlinux yeah it's little annoying. Fortunately some RSS clients notify you when they are not able to retrieve info in some time so you know to look it up again. For example FreshRSS can do this. @gamingonlinux To be fair I don't think that is the RSS fault. Seems like because there was no follow up system, a lot of amazing games ended up "trapped" on the Dreamcast, but are still totally playable today. The DC (or an emulator) is still the best way to play Marvel vs Capcom 2, Power Stone 2, and many others. Title: "Steam Users Surprised With Limited Time Freebie" ...it was a Cloak for Forspoken. They keep pulling this shit with really vague headlines. I think I'm going to block them from appearing on any feed I have to track stuff. @gamingonlinux That feels especially duplicitous considering how Steam does give away actual free games occasionally. @gamingonlinux Would have blocked them a long time ago. @gamingonlinux On the topic of whether it's a "big deal" or not, I'm not so concerned about the OOBE, I'm sure Ubuntu's regular users will be fine either way. But there's a clear, Microsoft-level conflict of interest when you have a company pushing their own proprietary solution while excluding competing technologies of the same kind. It starts to stink of walled-garden mentalities that are mostly antithetical to the FOSS community. @gamingonlinux And I plan to drop Ubuntu by default and stick to Arch for computers and something not Red Hat or Ubuntu based for servers, maybe Debian or openSUSE... No Man's Sky Fractal gets a VR overhaul, new Expedition, Gyro update @gamingonlinux Was expecting the SD gyro features to be nothing more than a gimmick at first, but after using it, it's invaluable for FPS games. Not sure how much benefit it'll bring in NMS, but in higher-paced shooters, it really helps to fine-tune your aim. @gamingonlinux I'm going to show this gif to anyone who questions why I invert the y axis on my sticks |
@gamingonlinux so far we havenโt been tagged by people who think weโre somehow related to their specific elementary school. Weโll see how long that lasts haha
