@gamingonlinux Yup, I already had it set! I generally prefer darker UI for apps and websites I spend a lot of time looking at. A little easier on the eyes. I appreciate you making it an option! 😀 👍

@gamingonlinux That is awesome! I have been looking for an alternative to Tabletop Sim. This isn't going to replace it right away but down the line this is going to be great for getting my friends together for TTRPG and miniature campaigns. Also it being made in the Godot Engine is a plus. @gamingonlinux Developer here, thank you for sharing my game! It's a weird but awesome feeling having someone you've been following for a while write about your project 😁 Stop an alien substance spreading in the Regulator City demo https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/01/stop-an-alien-substance-spreading-in-the-regulator-city-demo/ State of the industry: MSI offered a chance to win the ability to buy a GPU https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/01/msi-offered-a-chance-to-win-the-ability-to-buy-a-gpu/ @gamingonlinux This is why I'm happy the Steam Deck is a thing. GPUs in particular almost feel like getting scammed buying one and I just kind of want off that ride. ...Fortunately Valve came up with a solution that runs Linux as a cherry on top. Granted it doesn't replace really high end cards but it's kind of to the point where it makes more sense to rent compute time than to try and buy one. @gamingonlinux The one and only "ready to run" it self built pc I bought was the MSI Aegis something something 5. With a 3090 i9 11900K and 128GB of ram. Power machine. Monster. Superfast. Valve suffers a huge leak from various games like Portal, Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2

@gamingonlinux Unfortunately the harm this does to Valve’s trust in license partners doesn’t seem worth old information on a bunch of cancelled projects. @gamingonlinux correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like Tyler was doing wrong assumptions again and the leaker decided to leak what they had to prove Tyler wrong? it seems like it's another one of the Tyler's sagas that ends up doing more damage to the Source community as a whole than helping it out. The absolute state of the GPU industry with MSI doing a super cool raffle…to let you *buy* a GPU 🤦♂️🤦♂️

@gamingonlinux why don't they just implement the 'purchase history' and 'relationship with retailer' to qualify to buy new cards, like Rolex does. Proton Experimental fixes Splinter Cell, Final Fantasy XIV Online and Asian text If you toot at me something along the lines of “hurr you should rename to gamingonsteamdeck” or anything as idiotic as that it will be a permanent mute or a block. Steam Deck runs Linux, it is gaming on Linux. If you don’t like it, grow up and stop following instead of slinging crap at me. Thanks.

@gamingonlinux lol i don't get it why people always want to limited there self ^^ @gamingonlinux I have to testify, I'm a gamer and a software developer, and I have to dual boot on my gaming desktop PC, programming on Win is such a hassle, cmd.exe is less fun than bash, strange virtualization requirements, ads in explorer.exe, etc. Double dare you to follow me on YouTube https://youtube.com/@gamingonlinux 😏

@gamingonlinux hard to pick one, but it could be one of these: Return to Monkey Island - while not perfect, does have have some Ron Gilbert feel on it Stray - I don't remember playing game where so much attention has been given on being able to do cat things. If you stick with to the end, there's blend of several different game genres in there

@gamingonlinux it also has a small active community of people casting matches on youtube, can be fun if you liked watching starcraft for instance or if you just want to see how a proper match may look like @gamingonlinux Honestly the best rts. Try the scavenger mode with friends if you prefer pve, its a lot of fun. @gamingonlinux TA was one of my favourite games back in the day and SC is a very nice "recent" update... I will definitely be checking this out! Got a new Steam Deck? Want to check out some cool plugins to add? It's really easy now. @gamingonlinux Have no idea why but since a few deck updates ago, decky never loads for me. Tried reinstalling several times, enabled the cef debugging, but never works. But it worked at some point 🤔 Gamescope (used on Steam Deck) adds in some VR support https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/01/gamescope-used-on-steam-deck-adds-in-some-vr-support/

@gamingonlinux (in Scooby voice) "Aaarooo?" Yeah, I got the 1st Rift consumer (not beta) release. Really loved where that was going. Then Milquetoast Palpatine bought it and completely ruined everything. Got by for a couple years by having a block in my router that made facebook unreachable. Now it's just a fancy brick. @gamingonlinux Been really struggling to get the Valve Index working under Linux personally... First I had issues due to steam being installed as a flatpak, and had to install it just using the .deb, then had issues with kernel and driver version compatibility, now having issues with using it as an audio source with pipewire as it doesn't become an audio source unit you start the SteamVR application, and Pop!_OS doesn't become aware of it... It's a NIGHTMARE... Open source is fun, driver developers on the AMD RADV Vulkan driver are not happy Intel beat them in a benchmark...here comes some optimisation 😀 😅
