This is a nice touch. Valve tell developers exactly why they use the Windows version in Proton on Steam Deck if the Native Linux build doesnโ€™t work well ๐Ÿ‘Œ

@gamingonlinux โ€œSteam does not allow smaller developers to publish their games to steam deckโ€

Once again Valve treating smaller developers like junk. Big publishers get the 25% cut, indie developers pay full 30%. Small games donโ€™t get featured outside the indie search results, big publishers made backdoor deals with Valve to always make people see their games.

Once again Valve only wants to make money, no wonder I havenโ€™t heard anything about indie games in steam deck.

@gamingonlinux This... how it should be done! Valve, once again, putting in such hard work to please devs and fans. Good stuff!

It's nice to see that Red Hat employ such nice developers...

I see Wick's attitude hasn't changed one bit, he's still a terrible person.

@gamingonlinux Sadly I've seen this kind of behavior from devs and it's extremely disappointing. Moreso that this is someone employed at a $60-billion publicly traded company. Sorry you had to go through that.

@gamingonlinux yeah, I saw his comments in a discussion on adding DRM lease to Gnome Mutter. A similar tone.

@gamingonlinux this is just a bad example I have been to many Linux events such as SCALE20X and Red Hat summit Connect in person and most people from Red Hat are very nice some of the nicest you will meet

@gamingonlinux people dunk on the quality of FSR but it keeps improving and the fact that it's not locked to a particular GPU brand is great. Very excited to see how the tech will be improved in 3.

I already removed my personal Mastodon. Today Iโ€™m removing it entirely from my phone. Social media is too toxic and time consuming to do outside of when Iโ€™m here for GOL work ๐Ÿ‘‹

As always best way to reach me is email: gamingonlinux.com/email-us/

Just saw all the kind words, thank you everyone :)

Still here, not de-prioritising Mastodon at all. All content will still be here, just not having it at all on my phone.

@gamingonlinux Is it compatible with the first SKU? I don't expect it to be forwards compatible, but if it's backwards compatible, that would be amazing on top of the idea of adding GPU's and AMD SKU's.

@gamingonlinux

Finally an AMD Framework. Thank you for sharing this.

Just a reminder for the upcoming Diablo 4 open beta, here's how to run it on Steam Deck: youtu.be/ESXTxFYFa48

Thinking I should pull in a few other creators to do something soon. Hmmm.

I've mentioned a few times I'm available to chat with others, but still @BrodieOnLinux is the only one to invite me ๐Ÿ˜…

@gamingonlinux oh it's the exact same thing that happened to Corridor and is not only the main LTT also tech linked has the crypto scam live

Ceremus :t_blink:

@gamingonlinux Maybe that'll bring enough public scrutiny for them to fix their 2fa so that 2fa method can't be changed before performing 2fa auth. Most of these channel bounties would be worthless since the hackers would only be able to futz with the account password but not the 2fa, making it useless to sell off to 3rd parties.

The way it is now they can change whatever they want using only a stolen token session via malware.

@gamingonlinux Considering Atari refused to give Blood's source code to Nightdive for the Fresh Supply release and suddenly pulled the licence after an update, I _really_ hope they've changed.
