(This is the same guy that spent years giving me abuse at every chance he could) People like him are the exact reason why so many people do not want to get involved in FOSS. Red Hat need to deal with him.  @gamingonlinux these attitudes are such a sickness. when you think, this all (FOSS) has its roots in trying to make something better, only for those who eventually gained enough standing within this new space, to replicate the patterns that held back the old thing? this ought to rile up way more people than it does. @gamingonlinux Why do fuckers feel the need to have such an attitude... over LINUX?!!? I'm lucky enough to have dealt with such kind people [and find this wonderful website] right off the bat, so I had a good community to start in. Then, there are people like this guy who just spew shit cause they like the taste. Absolutely wild. @gamingonlinux @odddev @niarbeht sounds like a similar experience i had with cucks when i first got into infosec online as a teenager so i think i can empathise and know how shitty it is. assholes like that need a good thrashing.  @gamingonlinux I don't know what the draw is but wayland and a handful of other projects just have such terrible leadership/devs pushing the main changes, often so stuck on their ideas of what the software should be they'll snap back at any reports of their design causing problems for..you know...actual USE. JoshuaAshton in particular explains extremely well why that solution doesn't work in that thread but he refuses to hear it since it doesn't comply with how HE wants wayland to work.... @gamingonlinux Sadly I've seen this kind of behavior from devs and it's extremely disappointing. Moreso that this is someone employed at a $60-billion publicly traded company. Sorry you had to go through that. @gamingonlinux yeah, I saw his comments in a discussion on adding DRM lease to Gnome Mutter. A similar tone. @gamingonlinux this is just a bad example I have been to many Linux events such as SCALE20X and Red Hat summit Connect in person and most people from Red Hat are very nice some of the nicest you will meet |
