Newell said that the way to fight piracy is to provide a better service than the pirates and he's still delivering on that.

@gamingonlinux That cover image looks like "The Ascent" a game I tried on Xbox game pass that was... okay? It was fun at first, but got increasingly more and more repetitive until I quit.

Glad I didn't buy it. I love Xbox Game Pass because it allows me to try a bunch of games that I'm curious or even excited about, then find out if they live up to the hype.

For me, a lot of them don't, and it's not always the ones I expect. The opposite is true too. Some games are much better than I thought.

@gamingonlinux Good article, and I really liked it. Learned about some new games I've never heard of, even on other "Games like Diablo" lists.

It's strange that Lost Ark's not on there, as it's the biggest recent game with Diablo-like combat. Does it not run on Linux? That's what I'm guessing.
