News this week likely on the lighter side due to real-life stuffs. Still be some but lower than usual ๐ค Nintendo hits Valve with DMCA against the Dolphin emulator release https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/05/nintendo-hits-valve-with-dmca-against-the-dolphin-emulator-release/ #Gaming #Nintendo #Emulation @gamingonlinux And what's next, they're going to attack Flathub for daring to offer Dolphin in flatpak format (managed by the Steam Deck)? @gamingonlinux Some explanation why: "This is not a takedown notice for emulating (which we all know is legal in the US), this is a DMCA takedown for including the Wii decryption keys (which is actually illegal)." @gamingonlinux Looks nice. the original Neverwinter Nights had a lot of promise, but the visuals and controls haven't aged as well as the concept. I haven't tried the Enhanced Edition, but it's hopefully an improvement. The toon shader looks kinda dumb, but that's just me. Otherwise I've been happy to see the support this game has been getting. @gamingonlinux Ive loved that game for years, it came out with native Linux support all those years ago. I bought the extended edition last year and replayed all the campaigns. Its the underrated step child of the Baldur's Gate family but I love it Highly rated colour-changing puzzle adventure 'Hue' free to keep until June 8th https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/05/highly-rated-colour-changing-puzzle-adventure-hue-free-to-keep-until-june-8th/ #IndieGame #Linux #Steam #SteamDeck #FreeGame Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War is free to keep until June 1st https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/05/warhammer-40000-gladius-relics-of-war-is-free-to-keep-until-june-1st/ #Gaming #Linux #Warhammer #SteamDeck @gamingonlinux thanks for the note. Incidentally found this page, which is really useful: https://steamdb.info/upcoming/free/ Wow thatโs a bad look. And then you look at the release-day DLC for Gollum andโฆa pack for some emotes? For Gollum ๐ what were they thinking.

@gamingonlinux The funny thing is that a full walkthrough of the entire game, 10 hours worth, was posted to YouTube a few weeks before the game launched because someone out there with access thought the game was so bad that they needed to put the word out ASAP. @gamingonlinux Tragic. I had this on my wishlist for a while. Guest I won't be buying it. This is why we don't pre-order shit. @gamingonlinux at this rate the industry needs another crash

I like it, but it definitely doesn't have the flawless progression curve of Vampire Survivors @gamingonlinux Does anyone know if this works through the Steam flatpak? Vampire Surivors does not work with Steam flatpak but would be cool if this did. Want to learn to animate? Mainly, making it web-based, while it might be disappointing, makes the most sense logistically, since it allows us to reuse code between the website and the launcher. Also, we weren't able to find a Rust GUI lib that satisfied all our needs.
