@gamingonlinux Thank you btw for not *only* providing text or video coverage but both. I personally hate video news, but others prefer it the other way around. That way I can choose. More news should do that. You people are awesome! :3

Lets see if I can finish the depth section of Zelda TOTK with a decent framerate now.

@gamingonlinux I wish I was financially irresponsible enough to buy one

@gamingonlinux Maybe you can test this while I wait for shipping :)

I just wondered, will you be able to stream games from a Linux powered desktop in HDR if said desktop is unable to display HDR?

The Desktop is running Fedora 38 if it's relevant.

@gamingonlinux how is proton so far for backwards compatibility? Does it sometime break as fixes are done for newer titles?

DELETED

@gamingonlinux It feels like I've been hearing people talk about 3.5 for months. Any indication that this is getting close to release?

Still repeatedly seeing people confused on this.

No, the Steam Deck OLED is not a Limited Edition as a whole.

There *is* a special Limited Edition thatโ€™s only for US / Canada.

Models are:
- 256GB LCD
- 512GB OLED
- 1TB OLED
- 1TB OLED Limited Edition

@gamingonlinux one thing I can't find - there were some minor differences between SKUs for LCD version (e.g. different screen) - are there any differences between 512 and 1TB versions now?

Oblomov

@gamingonlinux they should do a special price for the 1TB LCD owners to upgrade to the OLEDโ€Œ version though.

@gamingonlinux

I saw an IGN article that said that the Steam Deck OLED is only available in US and Canada... right next to a screenshot of a X-creet listing the UK, EU, and other places it is available

Screenshot of a tweet:

Steam Deck OLED 512GB and 1TB models will be available for sale on November 16th, 10AM PST in the US, Canada, UK, and EU on Steam (and in Japan, South [Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong via Komodo).

Below the tweet, IGN writes:

In a post on X/Twitter, Valve confirmed that the Steam Deck OLED will go on sale on November 16 at 10am PT, and will only be available in the U.S. and Canada.
