This whole Plagiarism and You(Tube) thing is funny because I see YouTubers clipping bits of news I post with zero credit, not even a mention of it coming from me or a link in the comments...all the time.

A good amount of the time it's really big channels too.

@gamingonlinux Most youtubers don't include any sources full stop, I don't know why this time it's being made into such a big drama

beezy :archlinux: :cupofcoffee:

@gamingonlinux I never understood this. It literally takes two seconds to cite whomever you got the information from or at least mention them in the description.

Imagine saying OLED individually as O.L.E.D.

Anything other than O-LED (like oh-lead) is wrong. Fight me.

2024 is officially the Year of Linux Desktop on a Handheld.

No I will not be taking questions, thank you. #SteamDeck

@gamingonlinux been happily using Linux as my main desktop os for many years, very happy with the stability and lack of adverts 😀.
Come to think of it that means all the smart items I own run Linux, right from my router to my phone 💖

@gamingonlinux SteamOS > Windows 11 with Handheld Gaming App that Runs on Startup

In my mind they've won that category already. It's not even close, SteamDeck is such a smooth and well thought out experience. Even if theres other handhelds with better specs, unless I can install SteamOS AND have the same button remapping functionality I'm not interested.

@gamingonlinux To be completely fair, I think that was 2023. I heard 100X more about Steams Deck running Linux than I did about any Windows-based handheld

@gamingonlinux The machine UIs in the image with those graphics and that font really, reaaallllyyy remind me of Minecraft tech mods.

Ray Of Sunlight

@gamingonlinux Must warn game developers about it so they don't get scammed.

Edit: I typed "spam" of Scam

It’s fucking nuts that service providers can just remove your purchases like this without refunds.

@gamingonlinux What Sony did just reminded us about the ownership of digital items we purchased. And it’s time to pay more attention to drm-free content.

DELETED

@gamingonlinux 100% Nuts, they should get sued to hell and back for stuff like this.

@gamingonlinux that's a shame, TFH is one of the few fighting games I actually enjoy.

LaserscopeOG

@gamingonlinux I love the game and what that team pulled off. Getting announced as part of the lockdown EVO online was great at getting eyes into it.

On the flip side this is a reminder to never buy a game on future promises (same with most tech). Buy it in its actually released state if that makes you happy, and should they meet those future goals then even better!

@gamingonlinux that's sad to hear, because #ThemFightingHerds really was promising...

But I guess too many people pirate and mod #FightingIsMagic to the point that I know a literal #Arcade cabinet with it on!
(it's at @cbase in #Berlin...)
