Just a reminder we won’t ever be using AI tools for articles 👍

We also don’t chase search engines with clickbait SEO crap either. By humans for humans.

@gamingonlinux Now this is something I can get behind! I’m terrified of Microsoft’s Bing AI because what do you think will be feeding that AI? Your files they got through Telemetry? Your own data? Nah not taking the risk and that’s why I switched to Linux and learned C, C++ and Python and currently learning Rust as well. I’m following you and you get my support 100%

@gamingonlinux much more curious is the opposite: I have an old laptop where every time I open it up to change something I end up with leftover screws... I'm convinced the thing is growing them somehow... That's a secret framework seems to not have discovered yet as they include spare screws from the start 🤪

Chris Wagner

@gamingonlinux I’m convinced they bounce right into a parallel universe. It’s the only explanation for this plus the random screws I find.

@gamingonlinux I swear 😂
I’m pretty sure they just go to Narnia or something

@gamingonlinux sounds really promising. The onky ray tracing game that I currently play on my Rx 7600 s laptop is Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition. It looks gorgeous and runs pretty well (after adding fsr 2 mod).

@gamingonlinux Maybe move to something which works with JS disabled. Many (including me) disable JS by default for all sites with NoScript for security and privacy reasons

@gamingonlinux Good on you! GoL deserves the income. For some reason ads aren't showing for me on my main browser on mobile (no access to a PC rn so I can't tell if it's a me thing or a problem with the browser) but they show on my vanilla install of FireFox on Android I have as a backup.

Figured I should let you know that, at least for me, the ads are HUGE on mobile.

@gamingonlinux the failures are interesting. The usual anti-cheat stuff and several programs for Windows (wallpaper engine, crosshair overlay? etc).
It feels like we are reaching the point of a cheap sci-fi setup - big corpos not wanting to change their bottom line or lose their spyware 😂

Will Valve release a new game in 2024?

Half-Life 3? Neon Prime? Left 4 Dead 3?

@gamingonlinux As the time goes, Steam Deck gets more and more games, nice, amazing, spectacular, and no, this is not sarcasm.

@gamingonlinux God bless Valve for using Linux. It goes to show that gaming on Linux IS actually worth it!

@gamingonlinux Several games won't launch on my Steam Deck when using Proton 8.0-4. Hopefully this fixes things? I have yet to try it out, but fingers crossed!

Tais P. Hansen

@gamingonlinux Something seems broken in the RC. In Hogwarts Legacy the player character is invisible in mirrors and other reflective surfaces. With Proton Experimental the character is visible in reflections.

Spooky-Scary Weston 💀

@gamingonlinux Damn, that's tempting, but if it's like any of my other humble bundle purchases, I will never even make a dent in that content.

Andy Price

@gamingonlinux Can confirm it works well for me with the wine-stable version too. Fun game. @Hempuli
