You know when you're sitting at the cinema next to someone you like and their arm rests purposefully against yours? Yeah that Mika is taking a break from enjoying the lovely #caturday weather while the neighbour barky dog is out and about "What is really needed, [Linus Torvalds] said, is to find ways to get away from the email patch model, which is not really working anymore." https://lwn.net/SubscriberLink/952034/922c90d8097bd209/ Well I didn't think I'd ever read those words but I'll be glad to see Linux development moving in that direction. @andyprice hah! mailing patches has (un)officially died today. now, I wonder what the new adopted system will be. knowing Torvalds, it can either be something well-established like gitlab, or turbo extravagant, like writing something from scratch, and I see either as equally possible |
