"Greed has been fucking this whole thing up for so long, since I started, I've been fighting publishers my entire life and I keep on seeing the same, same, same mistakes over, and over and over. It's always the quarterly profits, the only thing that matters are the numbers, and then you fire everybody and then next year you say 'shit I'm out of developers' and then you start hiring people again, and then you do acquisitions, and then you put them in the same loop again, and it's just broken.."๐ค @gamingonlinux The more I read about Larian Studios, the more I want to buy BG3, even if I never actually play it. @gamingonlinux after spending that long to make 3, why the heck would they want to ever make another. lol they are prob going on lower time spent games. @gamingonlinux This is the kind of news I like to hear! They're playing chess with Nintendo, and I hope emulation wins! @gamingonlinux honestly surprised they didnโt self-host Git after yuzu went down. @gamingonlinux #ImageDescription Suyu brandname & logo, a pair of teardrop shapes, one red, one blue, curled into a circle like the 'yin-yang' diagram, only where in that design each shape has a spot of the other's colour, here each has four buttons as on a game controller It always amazes me to see people hate on certain reviewers / websites for review scores. Itโs literally that one personโs opinion on the game. Did it not line up with yours? Congratulations, youโre human with your own tastes ๐ Social media creates soooo much hate itโs unreal

@gamingonlinux agreed. It comes from the fact where we live in a world today where many people can't stand when someone else's opinion differs from theirs @gamingonlinux i think the real problem here is presenting a score and a personal opinion at the same time. I would clearly separate the personal opinion in an article from the review score, which should be as objective as feasible rather than people giving wildly different scores because some reviewers REALLY like card games or whatever. @gamingonlinux Disagree on it being Social Media:tm: that creates this. The entitlement olympics were happening long before these mediums existed. SM put it in a microscope. @gamingonlinux I think the solution here is to host their own Gitea/Forgejo instance off-shore. ๐ @gamingonlinux It seems they moved to a self-hosted forgejo instance. https://git.suyu.dev/suyu/suyu Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition out now on Steam - works on Steam Deck https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/horizon-forbidden-west-complete-edition-out-now-on-steam-works-on-steam-deck/
