If I really enjoyed Mass Effect 1-3, whatโs another game I should grab thatโs some sort of space epic?

PUNKCAKE Dรฉlicieux just added Linux support to a whole bunch of games https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/punkcake-dlicieux-just-added-linux-support-to-a-whole-bunch-of-games/ SDL 3 will prefer Wayland Over X11, if certain protocols are available https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/sdl-3-will-prefer-wayland-over-x11-if-certain-protocols-are-available/ @gamingonlinux it used to be X11 on SDL2 right? As someone who's a bit newbie on Linux windows systems, but I want to know for game development purposes, how big a deal is this? @gamingonlinux to clarify for anyone who hasn't really followed this issue, this doesn't really change anything for you if you run pure wayland or pure x11, it's only a preference (that can be overridden by an environment variable) on systems that have both available (eg xwayland) EA Anticheat arrives for Battlefield V in April, will break it on Linux / Steam Deck https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/ea-anticheat-arrives-for-battlefield-v-in-april-will-break-it-on-linux-steam-deck/ @gamingonlinux Fuck EA. There, i said it. I used to play Destiny 2 on stadia, then Google shut that down, and Bungie apparently cannot imagine anything worse than Linux users getting in on the action. Edit: i just reread this and realized the two paragraphs are kind of weird together. But what i mean is: it seems like these people are making an effort to make paying games on your system as painful as possible... EA in particular have been the Masters of this art for so many years now @gamingonlinux Sad for us Linux users, but not surprising considering the massive cheater issue. 4D Golf is making my brain melt away https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/4d-golf-is-making-my-brain-melt-away/ Now you too can lose all your time in Lost For Swords with the demo https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/now-you-too-can-lose-all-your-time-in-lost-for-swords-with-the-demo/ No Man's Sky 4.6 'Orbital' adds starship customization and a space station overhaul https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/03/no-mans-sky-46-orbital-adds-starship-customization-and-a-space-station-overhaul/ |
@gamingonlinux If you don't mind sharing the world with others, SWTOR is a pretty good RPG at its core
@gamingonlinux I love the Sci Fi genre, and I would like some good ones too, though I haven't played Mass Effect.
@gamingonlinux try Outriders, if you did not already, was wondering how rhat was not mentioned so far. Comes pretty cheap these days but has an entertaining campaign and works perfectly with Linux.
And of course Everspace 2, different gameplay, yes, but very, VERY good game!
Another great play for me was Jedi Survivors, flawless Linux experience, just finished it two Weeks ago.
A far stretch, Borderlands 2. explicitly this one. 3 was not my cup oft tea, the pre-quel was kinda ok, too
