@gamingonlinux Released a game about a month ago with Linux support from the launch! @gamingonlinux Far from a Steam release, currently itch io only, but I'm planning to release in early access some time this year. With the game being developed entirely in Linux, realistically, it has better Linux support than Windows. https://gilational.itch.io/punkageddon (Bit jankier than I want it to be right now because I'm dumb and decided to pack a load of fixes/changes into a single major update that's making taking way too long.) @gamingonlinux I'm hoping to add Linux support to Adaptory! https://store.steampowered.com/app/2201620/Adaptory/ & @stormcloak The article on Descent 3 being made open source was updated, as the licensing on the code seems to be an issue at the moment https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/descent-3-has-been-made-open-source/ Sweet beekeeping sim APICO v4.0 brings new goodies on May 20th for World Bee Day https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/sweet-beekeeping-sim-apico-v40-brings-new-goodies-on-may-20th/ Free Stars: Children of Infinity, the sequel to The Ur-Quan Masters (Star Control 2) now coming to Linux after smashing Kickstarter goals https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/free-stars-children-of-infinity-coming-to-linux-after-smashing-kickstarter-goals/ Victoria 3: Sphere of Influence delayed, Europa Universalis IV: Winds of Change on May 8th https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/victoria-3-sphere-of-influence-delayed-europa-universalis-iv-winds-of-change-on-may-8th/ SCHiM is a unique platformer about jumping between shadows https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/schim-is-a-unique-platformer-about-jumping-between-shadows/ @gamingonlinux I think I saw some development screenshots here on Fedi, I think the dev might be one of us. Great news! In general NVidia is taking up speed. Not as good as AMD, mind you, but I think when this year comes to an end we're talking about Wayland problems and not NVidia-Wayland-problems anymore. @gamingonlinux that could mean that NVIDIA might be moving towards open source but given their history it's hard to say for sure @gamingonlinux A look into an optimistic future headline: "Nvidia employee and Nouveau contributor adds commit that gets Nouveau functioning correctly on Maxwell and Pascal" Adventure Mode Beta out now for Dwarf Fortress https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/adventure-mode-beta-out-now-for-dwarf-fortress/ @gamingonlinux I remember when I did adventure mode and cleared a ogre outpost by stun-locking them via toe hits. Good times. Just reading up on all the stuff about more adverts coming to Windows 11 on my nice and clean Linux desktop:

@gamingonlinux Its an offer. A suggestion. Its a gift. Its not required to be on linux. You may need the OS for a proprietary app, you might fear disobedience and registry corruption, you may love the Joy of Tidying Up that defragging for 8 hours brings. Its ok, cool people use windows, some of them because they want to. You are not judged for using windows. When people offer linux its a damp towel for hair on fire, not finger pointing. The spread of MS Malware was coerced, no blame. If a developer can afford the delay, it's the best way to handle it. @gamingonlinux This only proves what I always suspected. World Of Goo is actually a AAA game that just masquerades as an indie game. It's no wonder that the game is so good! ๐ Stardust Demon looks fantastic for retro metroidvania adventure fans https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/stardust-demon-looks-fantastic-for-retro-metroidvania-adventure-fans/ When you put your browser text size up a bit, Steam's lists break and have blank names. Valve plz fix. @gamingonlinux Same issue in the UI. I feel like a rewrite was due at least half a decade ago. Not sure why they havent added that feature since it was an issue even in the old UI. The screens that we had in 2007-'10 arent the same screens that we have now and sometimes we need to scale up and down. @gamingonlinux this is what happens when you donโt give your QA team time to do their f****** job |
@gamingonlinux looks cool, although the only way I'm going back to dota is if they add an ARAM mode, can't deal with the prevalent toxicity ๐ฅฒ
