@gamingonlinux Progress. I'm still pissed at Nvidia for blocking the combination of Windows Remote Desktop + OpenGL, a combination often used in the medical space, then demanding you get Quadros to get that feature. @gamingonlinux Linux fans and cheerleading for corporations, name a more iconic duo (you can't)

*Valve lawyers have asked me to confirm you should in fact, not do this, but do this instead: @gamingonlinux that loop is for holding a hammer. I'd much rather have my steam deck on me though :P Microsoft open sources MS-DOS 4.0 https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/microsoft-open-sources-ms-dos-40/ @gamingonlinux they can't possibly open source early versions of windoze as we all know that every version of windows since 3.1 is basically a pretty overlay on the old code. They didn't even get around to removing fileman until Win2K. @gamingonlinux NVIDIA developer contributing to the open source NVK driver https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/nvidia-developer-contributing-to-the-open-source-nvk-driver/ @gamingonlinux I do hope Pascal and earlier architectures will one day be covered as well. @gamingonlinux I like your information because it's *not* some crude reactionary populist opinion piece. Opinion pieces are the antithesis of good journalism and the reason we have awful tabloid news organisations and Murdoch. In my opinion you do a damn good job of providing *news* and I truly appreciate that! @gamingonlinux @gamingonlinux Poor guy, what is he going to do if no one tells him what to think? Also, what information are you proxying that's meant to rip people off? Valve makes paid 'Advanced Access' a clear feature on Steam now https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/valve-makes-paid-advanced-access-a-clear-feature-on-steam-now/ @gamingonlinux interesting. the advanced access page mentions that the 14-day refund window will only apply after the game's release date. and yet they count playtime in advanced access as playtime for the refund policy. maybe there's a mistake? Atari revives Infogrames and acquires Totally Reliable Delivery Service https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2024/04/atari-revives-infogrames-and-acquires-totally-reliable-delivery-service/ @gamingonlinux "Infogrames built a reputation" - my first thought was that now they can abuse and destroy that reputation, simply judging by today's trends. |
