Audon is a great real-time audio streaming service for the #fediverse! Think Spaces or Clubhouse, and you pretty much got it. You create a room for audio, where other people can listen to you, or just give them the role of speaker as well. You can easily log in with your fediverse (Mastodon/Calckey/Pleroma) account, create a room, share the link, and you're ready to go! Check it out at https://audon.space Audon makes good use of the social graph of your fediverse account as well. You need to sign in to listen in on a room, and that means that there is a lot of different privacy settings available for the room. Like, you can have a room with only your followers, or only the people you follow. See the screenshot for all the available options. Wikipedia is now on Mastodon, at @wikipedia! They've taken an interesting approach here, as it is an account run by the community, where everyone can contribute (explanation here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/@Wikipedia). At the same time, it is verified on the official homepage of wikipedia.org, as you can see in the screenshot. Personally, I think this suits the spirit of the fediverse that the Wikipedia account is not a PR department, but community members building something together!

Do you also want to follow @pluralistic but struggle with how the massive threads can take over your timeline? You might want to consider checking out phanpy.social, an excellent web client by @cheeaun. Its absolutely gorgeous, and also sorts out the boosts in your timeline into a separate 'carousel'. On the first screenshot you see how the posts get collapsed into a thread. Single click on it, and you get the second screenshot. Absolutely worth checking out!

@fediversereport @pluralistic @cheeaun Or, just create a filter here in your profile that looks like this @fediversereport @pluralistic @cheeaun This is very nice! @pluralistic was jamming my feed. Also the posts in long threads were in backwards order. Phanpy fixes this and the look and feel are pleasant and intuitive! Good job! @fediversereport @pluralistic @cheeaun Alternately, if your server runs #Hometown, you can do what I did and make an exclusive list (which filter posts from your home timeline to that list) that just has Cory on it. 😄 https://github.com/hometown-fork/hometown/wiki/Exclusive-lists @fediversereport @fediversenews Nice roundup! Happy to see the numbers going up! P.S. I noticed that instead of saying "operating systems", you said "operation systems". Is that intentional? @fediversereport @gabek Here's your first representation problem: You're on mastodon.social. You can't see half the fediverse. Talk to p, talk to gleasonator.
Monday is a holiday here & that post too short notice for professionals. Hmm.
There IS a lot left to do in real-world interoperability, moreso in privacy (Mastodon DMs are not MS, really), ergonomics & accessibility. news announcement at @fediforum: #flipboard has launched their Mastodon integration on Android! This means you can follow Mastodon posts via Flipboard, and add them to your magazine, or share articles from your magazines directly to Mastodon. Even better, full #ActivityPub integration is coming for the coming months, so it can work with the full fediverse (Pixelfed, anyone?). https://about.flipboard.com/inside-flipboard/mastodon-on-android-flipboard-integration-is-here/ Mastodon has reached the milestone of 10 million accounts! 🎉 10M Mastodon accounts is great, but what does that exactly measure? And according to whom? One side effect of being a decentralized network is that usage and activity is hard to measure. In this article I take a look at the different data sources that count Mastodon account numbers, and some of the open questions regarding which number is actually correct.
