The power is yours. Our latest Framework Laptop 16 deep dive is on the 85Wh battery and quad speakers driven by a smart amp: https://frame.work/blog/framework-laptop-16-deep-dive---battery-and-speakers Well... there is one PC maker that grew year over year. https://www.idc.com/getdoc.jsp?containerId=prUS51020623&s=31 Wow. Abe built a custom cartridge-based game console with a Framework Laptop 13 Mainboard: @frameworkcomputer I haven't thought of that. Waiting for you to open your market in Spain. My current laptop is near its eol. Some say it's the greenest laptop on the market. Green Bezels are now available on the Framework Marketplace:

@frameworkcomputer oooh! Might have to switch out my orange one, although that does get commented on quite a lot, it’s very eye catching! @frameworkcomputer It looks ugly, but everybody has the right to have an ugly bezel if they identify so 😄 And the right to change it to a better looking one. Thanks for supporting the rights 👍 The team at Liberated Embedded Systems is building an open source LTE Expansion Card! https://store.liberatedsystems.co.uk/product/opencom-lte/

@frameworkcomputer do you have plans for other keyboard layouts? Like pt-PT? It's the only thing that I miss, more keyboard layouts. Are you an IT manager at a business? Do you have an inquiry? Well, we have a business inquiry page for you now! https://frame.work/business-inquiry We've seen a number of small and mid-sized businesses switch over to Framework Laptops to get deeper ownership over their hardware. @frameworkcomputer I am in a midrange company and will discuss this with our IT. Thanks for letting us know! In the latest Framework Laptop 16 Deep Dive, we go into the memory and storage systems, including a preview of our new custom-label DDR5-5600 modules: https://frame.work/blog/framework-laptop-16-deep-dive---memory-and-storage It's probably not officially supported by the platform, but you can stick 96GB (2 x 48GB) of DDR5-5600 in a Framework Laptop 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040 Series). That may be enough for all of your Chrome tabs!

Feeling unhinged? We've got you. 2D and 3D CAD for reusing Framework Laptop 13 hinges is now up on GitHub: https://github.com/FrameworkComputer/Framework-Laptop-13/tree/main/Hinges @frameworkcomputer That's awesome! thank you @Spacehuhn By the way, do you know if the USB-C "leaks" so it can provide power to the esp32 even when on standby or powered off? The thixomolded magnesium alloy Bottom Cover is the main structural part of the Framework Laptop 16, and lets us achieve <18mm thickness in a robust, rigid form factor: https://frame.work/blog/framework-laptop-16-deep-dive---enclosure Sliding in a Graphics Module with a discrete GPU, the back section of the laptop goes to <21mm, enabling much higher thermal capacity. @frameworkcomputer my hype for the upcomming Framework Laptop 16 cannot be contained 🤩 @frameworkcomputer I'm sorry did you say discrete GPU? I may need to standardize on these for work... Do y'all have a company purchasing program? @frameworkcomputer The CS:GO server for our inaugural Framework internal LAN Party. Time to test some Framework Laptop 16’s!

@frameworkcomputer Love that right-angle connector on the AC adapter but it really is kinda inconvenient sometimes. 😛 @frameworkcomputer I am not happy… because I am not there, nor do I have one… YET! Excellent review of upgrading a 12th Gen Framework Laptop to the full set of new 13th Gen modules by HughJeffreys "With their first device, they've really outdone other brands that have been in the industry for decades. It's amazing what can be achieved when you put customers first." A few weeks ago, linusgsebastian and the LinusTech team toured the Framework Laptop factory in Taiwan, including a peek at some pre-production Framework Laptop 16 modules being made. They released their video on it today! https://youtu.be/7nXVJBGowmY Special thanks to our amazing manufacturing partner Compal for letting this happen, and agreeing on extremely short notice! Almost no other manufacturer would allow this level of transparency. @frameworkcomputer I like the part that you have to disassemble the whole machine for DIY edition :) @frameworkcomputer If you guys really want to be all about transparency, you should offer Atomic Purple as a casing option :P Our latest Framework Laptop 16 Deep Dive is on the custom ultra-efficient, high-density 180W USB-C Power Adapter we developed: https://frame.work/blog/framework-laptop-16-deep-dive---180w-power-adapter We might unintentionally end up being the first company to ship a >140W USB-PD 3.1 power adapter?

@frameworkcomputer Very cool. I think this is one of those areas where its importance is vastly understated. @frameworkcomputer This somewhat concerns me because if the laptop expects 180 W, what do I do if I forgot my power adaptor at home and am travelling long distance?

@frameworkcomputer I am so excited for new Framework laptop. Hope it will be available in most of EU countries soon. @frameworkcomputer Exciting. It will be a while until I upgrade my mainboard but I am looking forward to having an AMD option. We can build this dream together, standing strong forever. Nothing's gonna stop us now. I feel like this is a reference too something but can't think of what it's too. |
@frameworkcomputer Awww, I was hoping for a 100-watt battery, tbh (hopefully in the future?)
@frameworkcomputer if only it had a 8K touchscreen oled display that can be folded and clipped downwards, that was my last wish for the perfect laptop. /s
@frameworkcomputer would love to see similar for the 13" AMD
