Plans for the weekend:
- sleep all the shit out of my bed - check

Blue

May I please have a new code editor without web browser in it and with a settings gui? If it takes an editor to be not hackable and not for the modern world - so be it. I also open editor to edit stuff, you know, I rarely have motivation to edit the editor

On Monday my team lead comes back to work to find a merge request of thousands of changes in more than a hundred files. I doubt he expected this outcome telling me to "think around placing some tracing logs" before going on vacation

Kinda starting to hate the prettier. I have 2 perfectly aligned lines, yet one of them the prettier wants me to split, and another one he wants me to put in one line if I try to split. And the pipeline wouldn't let it go... My eye is starting to twitch looking at it

Gordon Freeman, in the flesh. Or, rather, in the calameres installer. I took the liberty of relieving you of your GPU, most of it was NVIDIA property. As for the CPU, I think you've earned it.

The disk partition, /dev/sda4, is in our control, for the time being, thanks to you. Quite a nasty disk layout you managed over there, I am impressed.

You've proved yourself a decisive man, so I don't expect you'll have any trouble deciding what to do. If you're interested, just add the nonfree repository to your apt sources list and I will take that as a yes.

Otherwise, well... I can offer you a scene you have no chance of rendering. Rather an anticlimax, after what you've just survived.

Time to choose.

@thememesniper Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine.

Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job- no-one is more deserving of a rest. And all the CUDA cores in the world would have gone to waste, until... Well. Let's just say your drivers have... died again.

The right card in the wrong distro can make all the difference in the world... So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and, smell the ashes...

@thememesniper Gordon Freeman in the flesh. Or rather, in the hazard suit. I took the liberty of relieving you of your weapons; they are OSHA violations. As for the suit, it is OSHA-compliant.

It appears I've passed the exame and now I'm officially level B1 in Brazilian Portuguese, nice

Okay, I guess at this point it's valid to say that I've learned quite some, and I can proudly call it a year

Funny how things I didn't want to buy at first sometimes end up being the most useful things I have

KDE Plasma is great. GNOME is awesome. Window managers are wonderful. Everything has quirks but I love all these options we have. I can't wait to see where we take them.

@vkc
I tend to go lite, with icewm, or jwm, or fluxbox.

@vkc I want to love KDE Plasma... But the level of quirks often ends up with me just giving up on it. Maybe I'm just "doing it wrong". For myself, I use Openbox, for others I tend to use XFCE4.

@vkc ended up costing Mint a couple years ago and thus I’m a fan of Cinammon!

It’s pretty great to have so many options!

@rf@mastodon.ml #вопрос : если я хотел бы перевести пожилому родственнику денег с крипто кошелька, что бы вы предложили использовать на стороне получателя в РФ?

DELETED

I must admit - I really enjoy using fish shell

On one hand I absolutely detest all modern frontend stack, on the other hand it feels so tempting to write something solid and reliable on typescript
