Gregory's ServerZehra, a student with a #linux phone running @postmarketOS fought against the decision of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University to enforce 2FA allowing only SMS and Microsoft Authenticator.
After students who could not configure 2FA had been blocked for about a week, the university silently retreated.

Huh, I wonder why the IT department didn't allow TOTP, as it is normally available directly where you enroll your Authenticator. No special infrastructure need... π€·

@dimitrisk @postmarketOS This was the right thing to do, but just as an aside, in case people don't know, but you CAN run Microsoft authenticator on your Pinephone or Librem 5. Waydroid is the answer. I don't recommend it, but it is a powerful solution for a lot of cases.
