I've been adding simple conditional blocks to Adelie, so you'll soon be able to do like: *clicks door*

@neauoire i actually have never heard of urbit, and i can't tell what it is really from the website either lol. do you dislike it? @neauoire Ah, the computing stack that ends up depending on "jets" for things like decrement operation. @eli_oat I realized last night that I pushed a broken commit that doesn't allow for more than one link region at a time.. 🤦♀️ @eli_oat so far I've been guessing at it, but I could make it so mouse2 prints the coordinate of where you clicked? @neauoire what is this? what is adelie? (except of penguin name)... OS? presentation creator? game maker? lol I've been adding rectangular link areas to slides in Adelie, so people can craft little interactive graphical novels. I think I'll even add basic conditional commands, a-la "if key = 1 then skip next command" The idea was suggested by @eli_oat @neauoire @eli_oat How long until we can expect a demake of The Manhole? (apparently the whole thing can be found with mac emulator on Archive.org: https://archive.org/details/TheManholeMacintosh) A little(24kb) #uxn interactive graphic novel engine using plain-text format sources. Rekka and I can't get over how beautiful these Adelie slides are. "A century of white settlement, logging, and cattle grazing on the land we now tend has resulted in a wetland dominated by invasive grasses, stands of second-growth conifers, and a west-facing slope clearcut in 2014. Above us lies a commercial tree plantation owned by Rayonier, a timber company which exploits 2.7 million acres. We purchased this parcel three years ago, as a collective seeking to put our lives further in common." https://www.e-flux.com/journal/128/472900/planting-and-becoming/ Having fun writing a little cli tool to remove duplicated tiles in a spritesheet. The result is slightly smaller graphics. @neauoire What's exciting to me about this kind of tool is the idea of doing this reduction, and maybe even mutating the original graphics a little to increase the number of duplicated tiles, and then somehow alter the "dictionary" image, like offset all the tile ids by one or something or replace a "dictionary" image from another image entirely, to get glitches in the mode of old NES mapper-page errors. The junk-food effect Every leaf and every grass blade on earth makes more and more sugars as CO2 levels keep rising, We are witnessing the greatest injection of carbohydrates into the biosphere in human history ― an injection that dilutes other nutrients in our food supply. @neauoire "Biology grant makers said his proposals were too math-heavy; math grant makers said his proposals contained too much biology." https://www.politico.com/agenda/story/2017/09/13/food-nutrients-carbon-dioxide-000511/ @neauoire damn...seeing you guys post so much green awesomeness and living in a country that's turning closer and closer to a literal desert every year gets me envious... 🥵 Love this pic! Nice shot! We were told there was a tiny market on the other side of the island. We walked through spider-infested jungle for two hours, arrive at the store covered in mud from head to toes. We bought a small bag of potatoes for 13$, walked right back into the jungle. @neauoire I’m getting the impression that you’re in the canadian equivalent to my region. The trick is to carry a stick in front of you so you don't catch all the spider with your face, but it still only catches about 8 out of 10 spider webs. I've been dealing with a lot of #uxn spritesheets and image files lately. I wrote a little image-viewer that let's me look at chr and icn files quickly. Interesting :D Reminds me of the dithered images used to reduce the needed power/bandwidth on this solar-powered website, https://solar.lowtechmagazine.com/ :D |
@neauoire At this point, I'm considering Nowhere vaporware. Just hope they made it through the earlt stages of the pandemic.
