New for Android: Chat folders to organize your conversations into customizable folders. See unread messages, filter 1-on-1 and group chats, and keep work chats separate to clock what's happening after you clock out. Settings > Chats or long-press any chat

 @signalapp but could i make some chats makes no sound nor vibration while still appearing in my notifications in the usual position — when I spotted Folders I just checked out if the functionality was implemented on them but seems not either
 We’ve improved private group video calls in Signal with new features, incl. call links. Create a link that anyone on Signal can use to join a group call *without* having to join a Signal group chat first + raise hand, emoji reactions, calls tab, & more

 @signalapp I just want my SMS support back. I've been hopping across half-a-dozen different free SMS apps that are either missing features or have those broken features. Everything just worked with Signal. I also can't convince my friends to try Signal when I now don't use it. We're aware of reports that access to Signal has been blocked in some countries. As a reminder, Signal's built-in censorship circumvention feature might be able to help if your connection is affected: Signal Settings > Privacy > Advanced > Censorship circumvention (on)

#Signal also works with with #tor #orbot on #Android, which can help to circumvent #censorship.

  The best way to keep a phone number private is to not be forced to use it in the first place. We are touched by and grateful for every donation, including the occasional envelope of cash. Signal is a nonprofit. But what does this mean in practice? Today we do something most tech co’s avoid: talk money. What does it cost for Signal to play in a lane dominated by billion $ corporations, while rejecting the surveillance business model?

@signalapp once I switched a friend that knew nothing about tech to Signal and they liked it for regular user reasons and performance. Signal is actually nice, not just secure.
