W3C offers tools and validators including: Nu HTML Checker: Checks HTML documents. At our recent AC meeting Hiroshima, Japan 🇯🇵 Yosuke Kaneko, President of the Interplanetary Networking Special Interest Group (IPNSIG), spoke on his thoughts about connecting humanity even beyond the limits of our world. He spoke about the potential to create a communications network from Earth to the Moon, and even to Mars 🌎 🌖 ✨ 🎬 Watch the video: https://youtu.be/H2vDEZFbTw8 Does IPNSIG have anything to do with @ipfs? Because one of their goals is exactly what the video describes.
I think a BitTorrent/IPFS type approach would be useful for dealing with round trip delays etc. If there's, say, a node on Mars seeding an Earth website, the people living there wouldn't have to wait 40 minutes to load it. W3C in the news: "The fediverse, explained" at The Verge "But all of this stuff only works if there is a standard, and I’d bet $10 that ActivityPub is going to be that standard. It’s the one that’s overseen by the World Wide Web Consortium, it’s the one with the most momentum" Tim Berners-Lee invented the Web and Vint Cerf invented the Internet. Some people often talk about one but mean the other. They once wore custom-made t-shirts to help identify which invention was theirs! #aboutW3C

@w3c So the avenging dragon of the library gods only has two heads? I’d expect at least 7-12. @w3c reminds me we had this on our end of Year Trivia Question and most didn't get it right W3C has posted that we are no longer active on X/Twitter and have directed all our followers here to Mastodon. We are encouraging all W3C-related accounts to do the same. Encourage your friends to follow us here!

The Ethical Web Principles are as much a guide in ethical thinking across the web industry as they are a guide for the work of the W3C community by providing a concise set of principles to assist spec developers, authors, and reviewers in their work.
Furthermore, the document outlines how we, as an organization, define the power and purpose of the web, from an ethical standpoint.
These principles are not merely theoretical; they constitute a call to action. 2/4
