I'm still waiting for someone to review it so that it can be published... It depresses me a bit. Makes you want to publish it on the Google Play Store (which I obviously won't).

You just have to mention the #bot with an email address under a post (do it privately) and it will email the indicated address with a link to the post. Benefits ? No need to leave the app, some apps don't have sharing options, the email includes a link to invite the person to join Mastodon, not everyone has their email configured in an app that allows sharing on the device they use. Cons ? The mail could be marked as spam. What's the point of sending "a mail with a link to the post" rather than sending the toot in the mail directly ? New feature on #m2m that now in addition to being #Mail2Masto will also be #Masto2Mail: tag below a publication (preferably in private) the bot to send you and save the publication in your email box This is much better! Limited to one send to two people every 10 min, to avoid spam and with the option to opt out if someone even like that misuses the tool. |
@retiolus the former, yes, already exists as far as I know. The latter doesn't and would be potentially complex to handle (as Flag activities are only sent to the origin server, so you'd need to federate the report back to all the other moderators somehow;
tldr: keep moderation instance local for now, whilst moderation tooling remains instance local.
