 Look what just dropped! Store large DataScript DBs efficiently and incrementally to disk/SQLite/PostgreSQL/RocksDB/whatever and instantly lazy-load them back as you use your DB. @nikitonsky https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JSONP It doesn't mean that there is a real reason to do so in that case  @nikitonsky I once imported photos from Google photos and while all photos had meta-data it was in a separate json files 🤷  @nikitonsky maybe it once was a non-breaking space? And then it was deleted as not "file path-safe". On that note, I have a question. What the hell is the thing on the left? Red-yellow-green-two more? What do they do? How to blur correctly. Colors outside must leak into the blur, even if they are positioned 100% outside. This makes blur continuous on e.g. scroll

 @nikitonsky this issue is also the bane of "Screen Space" effects in games. Like Screen Space reflections disappearing from the water surface when the actual object is outside of the screen, and then reappearing back when the object itself is back. @nikitonsky that’s new to me! I vaguely remember having an Open in Terminal item in the toolbar years ago; may be the same magic.  There are lots of actions with cmd or fn combinations. People are still discovering ones. Nobody knows them all, and I guess will never know Suddenly realized that if computers worked as reliably as they do in Cyberpunk 2077, I would like that! Everything connects, no bugs, fast, compatible, solutions are logical and nobody needs to Google anything. Like, would you be able to partition a disk on Linux without Google? I wouldn’t @nikitonsky I wonder, would you trade working computers for bugs in nature? Cars clipping through the road, people’s face not loading in, bonkers edge detection launching from kilometres up in the air… But all your tech works perfectly. No bugs, ubiquitous connectivity, lightning fast performance…  @nikitonsky как раз диск-то разбить несложно, особенно если можно пользоваться GParted @nikitonsky I mean, even fallout2 level of connectivity and IoT (transfer fuel around San Francisco with few keystrokes) would be nice. |
