Every day, we stray further from the light of the #HIG. Although the words “Email or Phone Number” appears to be a placeholder within a text field, and the word “required” appears to be a label, the word “required” is actually the placeholder, and the “Email…” text is a permanent label. Relevant section: https://developer.apple.com/design/human-interface-guidelines/text-fields Bhaggeag So wrong looking! If it's going to be a label it shouldn't be in the white box!?!?! It's talk like a pirate day! Here I go: "I just want to access the media I already own in a portable format that I can watch or listen to in high quality on all my devices without DRM or adverts." Did I do it right?

@LewisWorkshop The caveat is that you don't own it :( Technically, you're (maybe) renting a right to (maybe) (sometimes) watch it (or its low quality derivative) on some (certified) device (unless this right is revoked for absolutely any reason) (and there might be some additional clauses attached, see "Disney restaurant death"). My review of day 2 of heart of Clojure: 5 stars 🤩 Nothing went wrong, people juggled, unicycled, ate waffles and vegan cake, watched talks and participated in workshops. We had lightning talks about scrappy blogging, disney playlists, and styling components. The furniture just got picked up, I'm gonna find a safe place for my car, chill for ten minutes, and come out for the drinks at oude markt. Thanks to everyone who was here or made it possible. 🙏

@plexus congratulations! Will you publish videos for those who couldn’t make it? I was planning to do exactly the same: have a separate button for wifi. Maybe in iOS 19 https://manuelmoreale.com/thoughts-on-the-new-ios-control-centre We want to express our deepest appreciation to our sponsor NextJournal (https://nextjournal.com ), THE notebook for reproducible research, who believed in our vision for the Heart of Clojure conference. Not only did they sponsor Heart of Clojure 2019, they are our first confirmed sponsor this year. I never thought calendar visualization can be beautiful, but @tombarys proved me wrong. If you ever struggled with Caps Lock on macOS, that’s because Apple added a safety delay on it. Which is much longer than time between typical keypresses Here’s how to disable: https://old.reddit.com/r/MacOS/comments/1dkklgs/how_to_remove_caps_lock_key_delay/ @nikitonsky I never found Caps Lock useful so I remapped it to Switch Language. It still can work as Caps Lock when pressed with Shift. As far as I can tell there’s no delay for the combination.

@Joekw @BenRiceM @MuseumShuffle this reminds me of the #Tier3D phone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wReU7TYE_xY via #StopDropRetro @Joekw @BenRiceM @MuseumShuffle Hahaha @MuseumShuffle is breaking Apple Intelligence. Setting UI font metrics to ensure text appears vertically centered is a core principle at Yep! Type. All my fonts follow this rule and will continue to do so. This ensures that text labels are balanced within containers like buttons and list items, and align perfectly with icons. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in digital design.
